Picture books for Kids

     Reading a book is a true pleasure. Books are the best friends of all. I think that reading is a good hobby. Books give a lot of new information and knowledge. They also give us a message.
I love children picture books. They are large, colorful, easy to read and very simple in their structure, not very long and produced exclusively for a certain audience, namely children, especially of the younger ones. It is all about showing and telling, a window for learning to “read” in a broad sense, exploring relationships between words, pictures and the life we experience every day.
I enjoy reading books with children because they are always involved into the process, they share their opinions, discuss storylines, complete different tasks based on the content of a certain book.

Baby Hippo and me reading the book for kids :)

This year I used many different books during my lessons and now I am searching for new ones to make my children happier, because they love reading picture books!

The books we already read:
“Brown bear, brown bear” by Bill Martin;
“The Icky Sticky Frog” by Salina Yoon;
“The very hungry caterpillar” by Eric Carle;
“Easter Egg Hunt” by Richard Graham;
“The Tiger Who Came to Tea” by Judith Kerr;
“Ten Apples Up On Top” by Dr. Seuss;
“The Cow who Clucked” by Denise Fleming.
These books are classics in my opinion. The ultimate book for kids this year was “The very hungry caterpillar” by Eric Carle – this book is awesome!

Books in queue:
“Pigs Might Fly!” by Jonathan Emmett & Steve Cox;
“Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss.

Awaiting to get from e-bay:
“The Cat in the Hat” by Dr. Seuss;
“Mr. Brown Can Moo - Can You” by Dr. Seuss;
“Crazy Colours” by Dr. Seuss;
“Kevin's-Birthday” by RubbishBooks.com
and still I am process in of searching for others.

Read, enjoy and open new worlds!

Sincerely yours,
Inna
